Gudebrod’s shooting line is the longest casting, least tangling line on the market. We have tried just about every type line on the market, and find this line to be the best all-around performing line. Being located on the Jersey Shore, casting over a hundred feet is a regular cast. This means having over 60 + feet of shooting line in your stripping basket. This usually means constant tangles with traditional ''smooth-finish'' shooting lines. Most of these ''fly-line'' shooting lines need constant cleaning in the saltwater to prevent tangles.

Gudebrod’s shooting line is a braided style line which splices very easily with a splicing needle and rarely needs cleaning. We also love the braided finish, especially in cold conditions. It is much easier to grab and haul than other lines. Nothing is worse than having your shooting line constantly slip while casting or striking a fish.

Please use the Cortland Splicing Needles to easily splice ''blind'' loops into this shooting line.
