RIO's Saltwater IGFA Hard Mono  is an ultra hard alloy stiff nylon for the ultimate in abrasion-resistance and for carrying the fly in windy conditions. We use this mono for tying butt sections on to leaders.  It is guaranteed to break just under IGFA Class test. This is the easiest of all hard monos to knot.

Note:   We use this material for all of our mid sections and butt sections of our saltwater hand tied leaders.   This material is very stiff and turns over heavy flies into the wind.  Combine this material with Rio Max tippet for the mid or tippet section of your leaders for a perfect blend of power and delivery.
