Note:   This is one serious reel. We abuse reels about as bad as anyone...saltwater, beach sand, rocks, jetties and more. We fish from hundred degree heat to sub freezing temperatures and this reel does it all. We find this reel and the Sage 3000 Drag series to be at the top of the hi-tech premium reel category. Some anglers find the Sage 3400 & 3500 to be slightly better proportioned in diameter & weight for bonefish and permit, whereas the C-VEX may be a better bigger game, big bass or tarpon reel and totally abuse-proof.  Either way, we are spoiled! They are both incredible!
