The RIO Clouser Fly Line for Big Nasties was designed to casts heavy or wind-resistant flies.  This has always been a problem for many fly fishermen.  Let's face-it, it is a challenge to fly fish in breezy conditions, especially with heavy flies!  This is tough for most people, even for good casters! 

RIO collaborated with Bob Clouser, famed fly tier, guide, instructor and conservationist, best known for inventing the Clouser Minnow; one of the most versatile flies for both fresh and saltwater. The Clouser line, with a unique reverse compound Clouser Taper taper and a bullet front taper, smoothly transfers energy to prevent the characteristic kick with heavily weighted flies. This taper effortlessly turns over heavy flies into the wind for both short and long casts.

Note:    This Clouser LumaLux intermediate line is a great line to fish with during the day as well  as night time.  Simply charge the line with your head lamp for a few seconds and watch this line GLOW !  If you don't want it to glow, don't hit it with your light.  A great concept for the nightime angler.  This is one of our best striped bass fly lines!
